I am (finally) back in Washington! I loved, loved, loved my year away at BYU, but did miss the good old pacific northwest! I finished the semester strong, packed up, and moved out in the end of April. I then stayed with my extended family in Utah until it was WEDDING TIME. If you know me, you know I LOVE weddings. Like, for real. So, I was pretty pumped about that one. And it was my sister's, so that's even cooler! Everything was beautiful, including the bride of course! However, it was crazy exhausting and for that reason part of me is glad it is all said and done. Bethany and Aaron are a happy newlywed couple who went right away to Mexico for their honeymoon, came back and furnished their apartment, and then just barely went on a couples' camping trip with some friends. So basically they are just living it up!
After the wedding we did some (very creative) packing of our lovely minivan. We had all of my stuff from college, wedding decorations (including a photo back drop my parents made), all of the stuff my family brought, and five people. I honestly don't know how I made it through the 14ish hour drive with the amount of room I had, but somehow I did, and that's what's important! (Picture of my "seat" below) And now I am home! I am working full time for a family (that I love!) in my ward as their nanny.

MISSION UPDATE: I met with the Bishop of my ward and have started my application to serve an LDS mission!! The paperwork part (now all online) is almost done! But, the application also requires some medical/dental visits. I was really worried because I need to see a rheumatologist to finish getting things figured out and to get cleared to go. I thought that getting this appointment would be challenging, and prolong this paperwork process. My appointments for my doctor in Utah had to be made at least a month in advance before I could get in. I really want to turn in my application as soon as possible so I can hear back on where I am going and have enough time to prepare (since I want to leave around September). BUT the tender mercies of the Lord are real! We called my doctors and got the necessary appointments all within one week, towards the beginning of June, which is coming right up! As scary as this all is, as everything is becoming more real that I really am doing this....I know that it is what's right for me, and what the Lord wants me to do--and that is enough to keep me going. I'm a big time planner of my life, and this was not originally part of my plan, which made it hard for me to adjust. But I know that I can do it!
